This Canadian course is packed full of evidence-based content focused on the predictors of a satisfying birth, with the goal of teaching you and your support team how to make informed decisions about your health care. When you have the tools necessary to be your own advocate, regardless of the decision that has to be made, intervention offered, or complication that may arise, you’ll feel confident to position yourself at the center of your health care and own your birthing experience.
If you are a Registered Midwife in Ontario, why can’t you give medical advice?
You have not entered into a provider-patient relationship with Tiffany, so she can not legally provide any medical advice or recommendations based on your individual care. She can, however, point you to evidence-based information on topics of interest and encourage you to reach out to your care providers for further information and advice.
Why do you choose to focus on guidelines from the SOGC and the AOM?
The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) is the national medical society that represents OB-GYNs in Canada and provides these doctors with up-to-date research and clinical practice guidelines. Recognizing that most Canadian families use an OB for their pregnancy care, it seemed most relevant to include their recommendations. As for the Association of Ontario Midwives (AOM), this is the organization that represents Ontario midwives and provides our clinical practice guidelines, which helps guide my care when I’m in active practice. Other provinces, such as Alberta and BC, have their own representing organizations and can be found online at the Alberta Association of Midwives, Midwives Association of BC, etc. If you want to find a particular provinces association, I suggest searching “[the provinces name] + midwives”.
Does this course have homework?
No. I couldn’t think of any activities that would be intrinsically helpful to the course without just making something up that isn’t likely very helpful. We have, however, inserted optional evaluations throughout the course for you to complete that will help make sure the content is relevant and useful. These evaluations will require some thinking about the content and how it might apply to your life, and the last evaluation that will be sent several months after delivery will ask you to discuss how any of the content impacted your birth. These evaluations are extremely valuable in the ongoing assessment of the content.
I’m looking for a simple prenatal course, is there any chance this course might be too overwhelming for me?
Yes, it might be 🙂 This course is definitely not a fluffy course, but I tried really hard to sum up the content and make it relevant for real situations. That said, it’s full of evidence and statistics, so if you are looking for a course that just skims the surface on birth prep, this course might not be for you. The 30-day money back guarantee protects for situations such as this, where one can request a refund if the course is not living up to their expectations. If you are unsure of whether this course is for you, we suggest you watch the Course Sampler above which will give you an idea of how the content is presented.
How does the 30-day money back guarantee work?
If you get far enough into the course and realize it’s not helpful for your learning style, please email email@example.com to initiate a conversation about refund. We strongly recommend you read through this course page and watch the Course Sampler to hopefully avoid this situation.
What if I want more information on a course topic or want to learn about a topic not discussed?
Feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss this, and we might decide to create a webinar around the topic for all students, or discuss it on our social media platforms. These emails will also help drive content for subsequent courses,

Prenatal Education every mom to be needs!

This Prenatal Education For A Fulfilling Birth course has been an amazing resource. I am in my third pregnancy and I have still learned so much! There is so much information that is important when it comes to informed decision making and doing what is best for you and your family. The course teaches all about consent and how to advocate for yourself during pregnancy and delivery, something I wish I had known more about with my previous pregnancies. The fact that everything is evidence based is so important to me as well. Tiffany also provides so much information about pregnancy and labour, things that every mama to be should know. I really enjoyed going through this course and I highly recommend it!
Evidence-based prenatal education at its best!
By: Andrea Atkinson
"The Thrive Prenatal Education course exceeded my expectations! As a health care provider, the course content enhanced my understanding of current practices and guidelines in obstetrical care. I really appreciated the strong focus on evidence-based practice and the content was well researched. Facts are clearly presented so that clients can feel more confident in making decisions that best align with their goals, values and beliefs. Clinical recommendations and research content were very easy to access as links to literature were readily accessible to review. This course will help to empower clients and their partners to know their rights and to have a voice in the birthing process. I would recommend this course to anyone expecting a baby and to all health care providers who work with pregnant women."
Worthwhile prenatal investment!

The “Prenatal Education For A Fulfilling Birth” course that Tiffany created is unlike traditional prenatal courses, and is definitely in a league of its own. It provides women with the information essential for informed decision making and equips them to advocate for the care they choose and deserve. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it beneficial, even though I’ve had five babies already. Tiffany’s passion for educating and empowering women is evident and is so refreshing! I highly recommend Thrive Prenatal Education!
